If You Want Straight Hair…

You need to try Bumble and Bumble’s Straight- an absolutely genius product that only took me years of reading about on blogs to purchase. Why did it take me so long to purchase the product? Why do I feel inclined to write about it now? Let me share.

I’ve hated my curly hair since pretty much the day it became curly. I have longed for shiny flat hair and have gone to extreme lengths to definitely make it try and be straight- I’ve bought T3 blowdryers, I’ve got CHI flat irons and I’ve got products claiming to be miracle products everywhere. However, no matter what I tried I’d find myself stuck with frizzy and fluffy hair- never straight and sleek like the hair of my dreams… Or at least hair I’m not embarrassed to go outside with.

But Miss A, you’ve got all kinds of hair products you said- and the best tools… Why? Well, until I read Jolie Nadine’s books on beauty editors, I didn’t really think they’d have any devious hideous agendas in promoting and raving about products that didn’t work. Lo and behold, this was not the case- and yes, I’m naive and gullible. I’m the perfect product of advertising bombardment and society pressure. Since reading Jolie Nadine’s books, I’ve stopped buying the latest greatest thing in magazines, unless I’ve read about it on blogs- blogs that aren’t being paid to promote certain products or paid to talk about certain things. I read what those REAL people have to say about things and I go with that.

This is how I found Bumble and Bumble Straight. After washing my hair and putting in the product, I spent 10 minutes blowdrying my unruly hair and it was flat and full of body but still manageable and very soft. Heaven! Instead of 45 minutes *seriously*, I cut back to 10. Ugh, if only I could find the curly hair equivalent… I’ve been looking for ages!

Anyways, highly recommend it for those who have to straighten their hair everyday. Bumble and Bumble also do a really cool thing in terms of the fact that they sell all their products in small containers and big containers, so you can try one without buying a whole huge container and having it go to waste if you don’t like it.

I love Bumble and Bumble, it is extremely difficult to find in Calgary but I now have my source….I have 2 of their products and love them both, expensive but worth it. I will have to try the Straight now.
