Well folks, my GPak was received by Dollars4Gold and was graded. In fact, here are the details:

In related gold news, did you hear about how ridiculous the Royal Canadian Mint is? How do you “lose” $15.3 million dollars of gold LAST FALL and just admit it now? Here’s the official story, from the Globe and Mail:
“The gold was reported missing last fall, but officials at the mint said they had hoped they would find that an accounting error was responsible. A review conducted by auditors Deloitte and Touche, however, recently concluded that the gold wasn’t simply forgotten during inventory. “The unaccounted for difference in gold does not appear to relate to an accounting error in the reconciliation process, an accounting error in the physical stock count schedules or an accounting error in the record keeping of transactions during the year,” the company concluded in a report released Monday.”
My personal favorite thing of all is the comments people have left on the article:

at 12:26 PM ET If the amount of the missing gold is not a big deal can I please have some too?
I promise I will put it to good use and I will even declare it on my income tax!

at 12:17 PM ET That’s a pretty big accounting error. Maybe due to the recession the leprechauns needed their gold back. Hmmm, since gold can’t spring little feet and walk out on its own it would be a logical conclusion that some employee helped themselves to it.

at 12:09 PM ET You mean there are no hidden cameras, on the security guards? in the vaults? No metal detectors on the way out? Unbelievable story. Unless the entire staff is in on it.
More comments about it are at DigitalGlobe, Crooked In Canada or Morton’s Musings.
