Product Review: Laura Mercier Crème Brûlée Hand Crème

So I read the product reviews for hand creams and “potions” all the time, and I roll my eyes and laugh at how stupid the people who buy these things must be. Yeah, pot… Kettle.

Awhile back I committed to using all my cream stockpile- so I have been faithfully applying my Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve morning and night and will admit that it’s generally just about the best value you can possibly get for your money. I’ve got a lot of it saved up and have been using my supply. The only unfortunate part about the hardcore salve is that it has a rather medicinal smell… Which is nice and clean and everything, but not quite glam. I’ve also found that my hands have been dry at work alot lately with the air-conditioning blasting and my increased hand washing and Purel alcohol wiping and I was looking for something a little more exciting.

So I recently stumbled onto an old favorite, Laura Mercier Hand Creme. I used to use the Mint Leaf creme I got as a sample with the boatload of Laura Mercier  acquired a couple of years ago and loved that it was not too sticky, smelled great for hours after I applied it and that I couldn’t find again… I think that they cancelled it, unfortunately. Luckily, I found that Laura had a new hand creme in the smell of my ultimate favorite dessert, Crème Brûlée. I bought a bottle at the Arboretum Sephora in Austin and have been so impressed with it ever since. Everyone who tries it also compliments it- you’ll never find a creme with more scent and less stickiness. If you like Crème Brûlée, you’ll love this stuff… And there’s a whole Sephora collection of them available online. If only I wasn’t in a “Use what you have before buying anything new because your bathroom is overflowing and it’s quite ridiculous” phase, I’d be trying the Sugar Scrub.
