Purple Potatoes

The other night I decided that I should get started on my cooking at home, one of the main drains on both my wallet and my weight loss aspirations. I decided to start out easy with roasting some potatoes and making a pork tenderloin in my mini-oven. As I started to cut the potatoes, I was astonished that there were purple potatoes. Where have I lived all my life? Are there really purple potatoes or was this some kind of rotten potato? While neither Mr. Roccapuccia or I could figure it out, we put them aside and ate the “regular” color potatoes instead. Is this normal? Apparently I’ve lived under a rock of a different color all my life because a quick Google Image search proved thousands of people have, like me, taken pictures of purple potatoes and posted them online. Who’d have known?
