One of the main things that is interesting to watch about the New York Fashion Week is the colors which seem to repeat and transcend over designers and across shows- this Fall 2012 season, it’s apparently already been advised that it’s a color called oxblood red.
As you can see, it’s kinda just a fancy way of saying burgundy, but we will apparently be seeing lots of it at stores near you this coming fall season. I’m not a huge fan of the color as burgundy seems to have a very old sounding name and makes me look about ten times paler than I normally look but the girls in the pictures above are pretty pale as well and they don’t look quite as washed out as I think I do when I attempt burgundy. I suppose maybe this oxblood will be so much better? I might just do the cheap thing to incorporate a new color into my wardrobe- start out with the nail polish. Alexander Wang paired up with Sally Hansen to deliver a pretty great trio of colors which includes the very aptly named oxblood.
