Mr. Roccapuccia and I have never really done Valentine’s Day… We celebrate our wedding/dating anniversaries, which brilliantly happen to be the same day, a couple of weeks before and besides it really is a pretty commercial holiday where flowers are triple the normal price and you can buy a large assortment of tacky stuffed animals to declare your “love“. (Although I really question the kind of people over the age of 13 that a stuffed turtle means love for- and I see lots of people doing it!)
This year though, we’ve had to buy me some ice for Valentine’s Day. My fingers where my wedding and engagement rings normally spend their days had swelled up to proportions which can only be described as sausages. Check out these bad boys, my rings were actually causing my fingers to turn a shade of purple (which matched my sweater today as a colleague pointed out) and were causing me physical pain.

I therefore had to make a Valentine’s Eve pit stop at SuperStore. I needed to get some new fake engagement and wedding rings so I don’t look like an unwed mother having a baby (Not that there is anything at all wrong with that, it just for some reason bothers me in my case) and Mr. Roccapuccia took me there to buy me the best fake ring that $20 could buy.
